Any car guys out there?

I have a 95 cadillac seville that has a restricted catalytic convorter on it. I'm thinking about cutting it off and putting a pipe in there. I've heard that some cars it'll make them overheat due to the air not flowing right. I've searched a lot for a answer but can't find anything. This is a obd 1 car just so you know. So will it hurt my car. I would just replace but it's 800 for a oem or 200 for after market not including installation. So will it hurt you think.

Ck engine lite will not turn off. Computer may not work. If you need a real answer go to 95 Cadillac Seville forum (Edmunds) are you still under emissions in your stste? If so you will not pass.Do the 200 plus. Junk yards will not sell them to you.

Bypass Catalytic Converter on 1993 Deville?

I could be breaking laws to tell you what or how to do this...here is a link to some guys discussing the issue on a 93 caddy....good luck...
