Any chance this may be gold bearing quartz?

found this rather large vein of milky white quartz with lots of reddish brown staining. any chance it may bear gold?

The reddish brown is most likely rust from iron in the rock.If the area is highly mineralized look around for any pegmatite.If you cant find any gold you might come across a gas pocket.If you find a gas pocket (made while the rock was forming)youll get yourself some crystals or gemstones.

to work it a bit to know for sure .
