The wire at the bottom is 14ga, but I haven't really traced it to see where it goes. The top wires look like phone or thermostat wiring. I believe you are 100% correct in your ID, though. Thank you.

Where I worked years ago, we had a similar box where there was an outside claxon activated by the telephone.
