Same innards as the Tek G2 I just got. My dime planted 5"+ deep & slightly tilted is reading lower 80s & upper 70s (bouncing zinc to dime I guess). At 10" in air test is maximum depth with just a whisper. The 5" dime is pretty loud. Turning down the sensitivity can reduce volume on mid-depth coins if desired.
Detector is pretty stable, can be used at sensitivity maximum (100) here in moderate minerals. I could get a soft sound on the 5" dime with coin. ID #s with senstivity as low as 12. At sensitivity 10 a soft tone but no ID. Audio pitch low so anyone with high frequncy hearing loss need not worry. Numerical ID is huge. Ground condition, sensitivity & most other print still pretty easy for bad vision people.
My F70 too unstable to be turned up even remotely close to max, so effective depth should be slightly better on coins with the G2 or GB Pro DP. The ID on AT Pro very accurate, but too small to read easily.
Quick response/recovery. Sweeping over coin for ID, in between the coin IDs it gives low numbers as if detecting tiny iron minerals. Detector makes some background hyperactivity noise, but still stable & generally not a problem.
Comfortable and lightweight, relatively simple to understand Think the ID is bouncing somewhat less than F70 I used, but more bounce than my AT Pro. We don't have any gold ore around here & haven't tested it yet on small jewelry but should be good as designed to detect small gold. Best wishes, George (MN)
