It's a later one, probably 1830's or so. There weren't exactly models of guns back then except in military arms, different makers, but many used the same locks. Size would help determine if it's from a rifle or pistol.

Any gun experts able to identify the age or model of flintlock gun this is from?
I also think it's a later piece probably made by a lock maker ? Clean it and see if you see any marking. Cool find!

That's a big lock, might be from a fowling piece.
