I’m fairly new to metal detecting but I’ve had some pretty good finds already I’ve been detecting for about two months now sand can’t get enough I recently started my first private house dig and found this but not sure what it is anyone have any ideas 460E9E52-ED57-4BD1-AA70-AF26175EA4E9.webpC7D91682-9609-4671-A1DD-504D2F22EC02.webp

Not real sure but looks like a emblem for a horse bridle or saddle. I'm sure someone on the forum will help.
 

Ok thanks I appreciate any help I can get I’ve found lots of colonial buttons but nothing like this it’s much larger about the size of a silver dollar

It does hint of being a bridle rosette...
 

Yup, bridal rosette for a horse. Looks like lead soldering on the back, which would date it probably early 20th century, perhaps a bit earlier. Nice find!

I’m a diesel truck mechanic by trade all the gloves in the world won’t help these hands lol
 

By the way thanks for all the help I just joined today and people have been great already I’ve only been metal detecting for two months and I’m addicted already
