Any idea what it could be

I’m fairly new to metal detecting but I’ve had some pretty good finds already I’ve been detecting for about two months now sand can’t get enough I recently started my first private house dig and found this but not sure what it is anyone have any ideas

It does hint of being a bridle rosette...

Yup, bridal rosette for a horse. Looks like lead soldering on the back, which would date it probably early 20th century, perhaps a bit earlier. Nice find!
