The item to the right or below the nail looks like a suspender clip, and the item in the center just might be a parasol handle.

Hi Tony, do you have any idea how old the hatchet is? I soaked it in vinegar and brushed it but it's in too bad of condition to see any writing or stamps on it.

It's hard to be exact. That style was used for a long time and still is. I would guess late 1800's/early 1900's or so?

The middle thing may also be a cane top.

The middle thing might be a corn, etc grinder which goes into a bowl.
