Diggerkid2003 nailed it. The ones with the two holes in the back are commonly found on French and Indian War sites. Some were used later, but the tombac button of the 1770's generally replaced them.

You’re definitely on an old spot, the button with the two holes is a blowhole button, early to mid 1700s
Yes, & the other one is not a button but an 18th C horse Harness Mount.
