Found near an old railroad/house site. Looking for a use or date on the buckle thing. Looking for ID on the thick brass or copper piece. Thanks!

The buckle is a Conway harness buckle.

The flat chunk looks like it has a curve to it. Could it be a fragment from an old bronze bell?

I think it’s a bad picture. It’s really flat which is why it’s so strange to me. The picture makes it looks kinda rounded but it’s very flat. Thanks for the help y’all!
