Ahh, ok, not a thing from our dry land. No logging river drives here. Thinking they may have been used to secure logs driving Bullocks though here. We did have a lot of Bullock drivers in the 1800s. Thinking I may have found a couple over my 30 yrs detecting and thoughtlessy turfed them!they were used for all types of things... especially logging river drives.
