✅ SOLVED Any ideas on what this is?

I found this yesterday at a remote campsite in Talledega, Al. It is about 1 5/8" in diameter and the rim is about 1/4" in thickness. Also appears to be brass or bronze and has at clear '17' stamped in the center on one side. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Looks mighty close.. Thanks Terry. Found four miles from a paved road in the middle of a forest. Always fun to think who may have lost something like this. I know CCC built campgrounds in the area around 1940. Really appreciate you replying.
