✅ SOLVED Any Ideas???

I found this yesterday in about knee deep water at a public beach. It's about 2 X 2 1/2 inches. I don't believe it's a pendant unless it was worn in a bezel. The edges are rough and the corners are pretty sharp. Any suggestions as to it's origin or purpose? Thanks for looking and good luck out there.
