Here's two pieces we pulled out of the ground today in the same hole we found the stuff I posted on "todays finds":

and here's somewhat of a close up:

These two pieces are about 10 inches long each. They appear to me to be made from iron (they are pretty heavy) & I'm thinking they may be hand forged. I've scrubbed that strange bump on the top piece with a toothbrush, but haven't been able to figure out if it's a screw or a brad or what. Any input would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks :)
 

Top item with swing looks like a really old frying pan handle to me...

The top piece looks very much like a hammer strap off of the tongue of an old wagon.
