Unfortunately it's pretty toasted and cannot make out any letters or a date. I was thinking connecticut copper but wasn't sure. Thanks for any help.

Looks to me like the remains of an Indian Cent but looks way too big to be the case. I have dug up several copper coins in comparable condition from my area due to acidic soil.
Perhaps a comparision shot with a cent may help narrow it down

Not an indian. same size as large cent. It's looks smaller but it's the same size as this 1800.

I can see it being a king George. If that is a half penny what would the one in the right be. It is a 1744 king George II.
