Any ideas on what this is? When and where it originated from? It’s carved out of one solid piece of heavy, smooth, cold stone.
 

I'd go with ibex statuette. But who, when or why I can't say.

Looks sort of like some of the Hongshan ram (goat/sheep) figures. Those are pretty widely replicated in China, and have been for hundreds of years, so I can't really say anything other than it doesn't look new to me. The stone looks right for the older, larger figurines. You don't those made out of bright, shiny green jade.
