Any info on this buckle?

Hi my friend found this about noon this past Saturday in Chester Co. Pa.
It was on his friends sons property.
Can anyone tell from the photo what it was and about how old it is?

It looks like a generic Harness buckle, or maybe even a Belt buckle.

Trezurehunter nailed it. General purpose buckle, a lot were used for horses. It could be up to 100 years old.

Those tend to show up a lot but like smokeythecat says it could be relatively old.
