I think i bought this at a flea market for 10 cents or 25 cents, something in thaT range. I was wondering if anyone could give me a bit more info on the thing. It's about the size of a Half Dollar. Maybe a vall. and where it came from. Thanks

I havn't been able to find anything searching the net, But it is a Peru, One Sol Coin. You may wanna do an E-bay search for Value. "Pagare El Portador" Pay to the Carrier.? ? ?"Sol de Oro" Sun of Gold or gold sun.? I have no Idea what a Sol translates into as being equil to what in U.S. "Maby a Dollar" I'm shure you can Read the Central Bank of Peru on its face

In the area of behind this the Peruvian national arms that is part of the flag of PERU. beautiful, It signifies the three natural wealth of peru, Flora, Fauna and Mineral. The animal is an Alpaca almost extinguished its species. the tree is The Quina, and finally the horn of the abundance by the gold that exists in PERU called the horn of the abundance.?
The denomination "THE CENTRAL BANK OF RESERVE OF THE PERU" is the place that emits these currencies in Peru.
Also Buckram this correct one as for the value that in those years.?
"One sol = 10 dineros = 100 centavos" "The coin is brass"
Now, we have new currency and is the New Sun.?
