Any leads on Amelia Island in northern fl?

Amelia Is. has a history! My advice would be to go to the Island library and read the Is. history. There is a fort to the North of the island. But its off limits. However there is a stream near there coming from inland that I think one might M/D along the sides off if you were just going to beat the bushes. A lot of people likely have walked along there and before many people lived on the island could have had a cache buried near it? It's a good marker! Could be someones back yard today, but you may get near it someplace. If you don't have the time to research an area, then it's all just luck. Hope this helps.

Pirates, Including Blackbeard, Supposedly buried several Treasure Chests on the Island.

Blackbeard Supposedly Occupied the Northern Side for several years.

in 1788 a Group of Pirates Supposedly Buried 2 Large Chests, in a Palmetto patch, a mile and a half from, the South end of the Island, and 200 paces back from the beach.

Especially Check the North end of the Island, & north of Fernandina Beach
