A good place to start would be a precise measurement of its diameter.
I really think it could be an old love token.

Not sure if it is a coin, could be a George Halfpenny that someone filed down and carved. The scratches are not part of the design. Good luck on the ID. Also, if it was filed down, the weight might be a little off.

Longshot i know but i found a coin with initials in it at 1700s site. Size of a large cent. Any way to ID it. It does have some lines and dots not sure if scratches or part of coin design??? I thought I remember seeing some old copper coins with similar lines

Can you get a clearer photo of the side with the initials? Almost looks like a date at the bottom
