It's Possible the Vikings made it to East Coast of Canada and Upper US east Coast first. But probably did so following Coastlines for the most part.It's Doubtfull Egyptians or anyone else for that matter were sailing Large ships across the Atlantic though. As Far as you Harpoon theory? Engineers overlap ideas all the time with no connection.
Most likely a sailor from possibly the 17th or 18th sailor came in possesion of the beads during his travels to India, and then traveled to the Americas. Might of used the beads as payment for food? Who knows maybe Gold?
If you are interested in early non European ships that made the Journey The Chinese and the Pacific are more logical. There are plently of legends about that stuff.
