maybe a Bodhisattva perhaps...I think he is too richly depicted to be Buddha...could also be some Chinese deity. one of the seven lucky gods...

Hard to tell from the pics. Is there anything on the bottom? Is the bottom worn? I don't think it's terribly old due to the lack of damage/chips, probably within the last 100 years. Who knows, it could be older than that I suppose.
