...for storing coins in cardboard 2x2's??? It's the box my plastic Whitman ASE 2x2's came in. I would think this should be OK to store coins in but what do you guys think???

Buy a small safe at an auction....they go pretty cheap at times my friend picked up a huge safe that must have been close to 1k pounds for 75 bucks...he about broke the ram on his skid steer lifting it out of his truck though lol

I noticed after using cardboard containers like that the coins would start to yellow as the cardboard decayed around it. I'm not entirely certain it was the box that did it, but now I use archival plastic ones, although any metal or glass container would work

No problems I can see for safety. Your coins may start to tone in it though so if your desire is for blast white specimens, you might want to look at other methods.
