any suggestions

went night seatrching last night in shorts and a tshirt...How is that for January weather in Florida...Whil searching with my beachhunter ID on the beach. The ID detector would audio and visual signal as jewelery when in fact is was pennies..I had my most finds with this detector last night about 3.00 in change..but nothing really spectacluar (unless you like bottle caps and condom wrappers) DOes anyone know why I might be getting false signals and andy suggestions on where I should pllok on the beach for jewelery. Also I would really enjoy finding someone in North Florida to search with....I really want to learn....I dont like trial and error with nothing to go by...Please reply and tell me what I am doinfg wrong....... :o

I meant to type any suggestions on where I should look to find jewelery on the beach.. Im sorry I cant spell when I am in a hurry...Any help would much be appreciated

It could be the salt water is causing false signals;I went to Treasure Island last year;I have got a Whites Pro Plus in water detector;I was told to leave it home;because the ocean water on the sand would trigger a lot of false signals-this could be the problem.
