I see there aren't a lot of folks chiming in on this topic. But, anyway...
So, we're in Germany now and, like so many others before me, what I thought was going to be me swinging a coil every weekend has turned into "No, you can't do that. It's too dangerous. The police will get you. Blah blah blah" I can't find a detector store (not that I need a machine) or any groups to hook up with out here. There were guys back home talking about the great places they used to detect while they were here, but now they're being tight-lipped about where to go; like I was kidding about actually moving here for a few years and they were just humoring me. Eventually, I'll find someone with at least a yard or something to let me detect on. But I still want to put out a sincere request for a fellow detectorist to maybe clue me in on what to do and where to go. Any potential hunting buddies out there in the Kaiserslautern area?
