during the revolutionary war washington sent a troop of men up the kennebec river up through the allegash to capture fort gerbralter in quebec i know there was a set of brass cannons that was sunk through the chain of ponds so enemy hands couldn't get it was wondering if any of the lost gold chest has been recovered? or what was used for gold i was thinking some sort of gold soveriegns?
