Nothing is on the back.
I know coal workers had a tag and put them on the board when in the mine
also I no some times community pool tags but I don’t think the metal
matchedbthat they are normally cheaply made.
Slave tag ? Not sure?
Railworker Tag? H.ouston R. ailway/road?
thanks for any help.

looks like a r.r. baggage tag

Most likely a locker tag for swimmimg pool, h for Houston? R recreation?

Congrats on the nice old tag find. Sorry can’t help with the ID.

I agree with etex locker room clothing tag I find them all the time must have 50 of them ...

etex nailed it. Swimming pool storage basket tag. Used them when I was a smaller kid. Congrats :coffee2:

I agree with the others who said swimming pool. I hunt an old lake that had swimming lockers and we've found a half-dozen of those type of tags, each with a 3-digit number. People would put their stuff in the lockers, go swimming, and at the end of the day the tag would tell them which one.

Another vote for swimming pool tag. What a nice find.

nice old relic

Houston's Recreation Department was founded in 1916. I bet the City historian would love to see your tag. Congrats! :occasion14:

Nice find, congratulations! :icon_thumleft:

Looks like someone had to go home in their bathing suit! :laughing7: Wonder if the clothes are still there? :tongue3:

houston city rec tag----for the city pool's lockers in the locker room where you changed clothing at is my bet

Thanks everyone for the input. Been sick so didn’t get back with a response I’m better now ready to get out the detector again. I agree from research and input. It’s pool tag for clothing basket. There was a local pool in the area back in 1920,30s. Thanks again for the input! Happy hunting!
