Sorry but it looks like a burnner shield off of a stove.Plus it looks like carbon steel .Welcome to Tnet looking forward to seeing some of your finds.

A cast iron flange of some kind?...plumbing related maybe?...I can't see how that would be used as a part to a cannon.
