Today was the third time for me. First time was $6 blown into a chain link fence at a little league field. Then there was $15 folded in a vast grass fair grounds parking lot. Today, a Fin at an area where the Village dumps snow from the streets. How about you?

Nope but I actually spotted a dollar bill once on the side of the road in the grass while driving. Turned around and had my daughter retrieve it. Over the years I have found quite a bit of cash, sometimes a lone $1, $5, $10 or $20 bill but on several occasions I have found clumps of cash from anywhere from $50 to $300 in parking lots, pool halls and stores. I wish those days would come around again!

i get them folded like that when i raid my wifes purse ....

Yes, at the beach, in the water, and in parks. Different denominations. In the water it was always floating on the bottom. Good luck!

When I walk past a bank ATM in a parking lot I check carefully around the fence (if there is one, of course) and the gutter where people would park their cars.

I've found $20's.

Good luck to all,

The Old Bookaroo

i didn't find one detecting though it was walking in my uncles field it was a 20

Quite a few times in the past. At Walmart on the floor, in snow banks, at the beach on top of the sand, grocery store isle, in a river....lying in the receding mud.

I once found a $20.00 Bill at the curb of a school athletic field prior to metal detecting. I also found $30.00 in a Crazymart after parking the car.

Yes. In fields, in stores, etc. And cell phones, and debit/credit cards, a driver's license, car keys, drugs, you name it. People drop the damnedest things.

I dropped a seated dime getting out of my car in the rain this pm. I had just bought it. Will find it in the am with the pinpointer, after it stops raining.

A few times. That folding money definitely catches your eye. Not detecting, but work related I found a few thousand dollars in twenty dollar bills in about 3 locations where they had been dumped. Unfortunately, these were all counterfeit. If you ever run across counterfeits, Secret Service is who handles those, not the FBI. Secret Service was using some of the ones I recovered in training classes for LEO in Oklahoma, as they pronounced them of exceptional quality at the time. Except for identical serial numbers.

I found a ten spot in a permissions yard once....

very rarely ? but i found i think 3 or is it 4 money clips buried and i just have to wonder how much green there was in them. i wonder what worms filled their bellies with my green ?

must have been real tempting not to try and spread that around ? did God tell ya NO?NO?NO?

Folding money ? ? ?

Is that the money from a card game ?

:P

Yes... and it was mine...

had floated out of my pocket.

But besides that... girl found a hundo while back... ate good that night.

I found 520 once rolled up... after outdoor event... sheesh found a lot over the years.

In 2008 I had just started scuba diving, I was very good at finding sinkers and Corona bottle caps. In 15 feet of water I saw the corner of a $10 sticking out of the sand. The way the light shined through the water it made it look like a lighter color and I almost didn't pick it up, when I did I laughed under water, cant find anything gold or silver with my brand new Excal but eyeball a 10 spot. And still have it.
Last summer on a stormy day at the Jersey shore spotted a piece of black material that I thought was a shirt in the wet sand. Went over it with the machine but no signal. I went to pick it up to throw in the trash...It was a money belt with a plastic zipper ! Two twenty's and a few singles, no Id. I bought the coffee that day.

Ya from time to time i find paper money that was dropped or escaped. Most unique find was a twenty with the snow blower, and it didn't shread it!
....a few weeks ago i over heard some city workers talking about a twenty that got away in the wind and into a fast moving little river.
Pays to keep a look out.
