Anyone ever Panned or Sluiced in river bonito or river ruidoso around ruidoso NM?

Just curoius if anyone has panned or sluiced and if its even legal to do so in the national forrest around bonita lake above ruidoso NM

You can call the national Forrest, most require u to have a permit. I had them email me one, I am only allowed to pan the streams only and some areas are restricted. So call because you don't want to pay a 5k fine

Yea I've found gold on both Rio Ruidoso and the Rio Bonitio.... Pretty fine stuff
