Anyone ever saw a ghost while detecting???

I know that I go to some pretty creapy places to metal detect and sometimes I have gotten bad vibes at some of the old houses. I can't say that I saw a ghost but I had that feeling that someone was watching me, and no one was there but me!! I know one old house where I kept getting the feeling that someone was watching me and I kept looking up at a particular window. A friend who also metal detects was hunting there a couple weeks later, alone. We work together and I hadn't said anything about my experience when he asks me " You ever had anything happen while you were hunting at that old house in the woods?" I said why do you ask? He then proceeded to tell me how he kept getting the feeling he was being watched and felt like he was drawn to look at the same window that I was talking about, he then went on to say that while he was detecting in the evening with the sun to his back, he was facing the house and bent down to dig a hole, while he was bent over he saw the shadow of a man pass over him from behind. He immediately turned around and no one was there. He said he gathered his stuff and left. Neither of us has been back there. We had hunted there about 6 times each and found several coins dating to the 1930's, a couple of watch fobs and I found a South Carolina civil war button there. I won't say that I won't ever go back, but I don't think I will go alone, yes I am a certified Chicken Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience, if so please share.

Heck, you should go back and detect somemore. The spirits are just curious about what you're doing. They can't hurt you any. Just say,"Hey, how're you doing today." and go about your business.

I actually have a ghost living in my house. A long time ago (4 years), I moved into this house... and one day, when I was standing in the doorway from the garage to the inside, I heard, "Hey man". I was very deliberate. It was from inside the house and it was from upstairs. I stopped and walked upstairs because I thought there was a teen age kid upstairs. No-one there!. AND, later, as I go to sleep each night, I hear music coming from upstairs. Kind of like what you would hear if a teenager was playing his music late at night. I hear it. And when I get up, it's no longer there.

I've learned to accept this strange thing. And recently, about 2 months ago, I heard a dog bark from upstairs too. Again, very realistic. I walked upstairs to find nothing. So, now I know that this teenager has a dog with him.

... and to this day, when I go to sleep at night, I hear music coming from upstairs. It's not only me, but I've told my girlfriend about it and she told me a long time ago that she "hears it too". AND, both of us now, we both just ignore it and go to sleep. We can both hear it, but it disappears as soon as we get up to try to identify it.

As most here know I Don't Believe in Ghosts,
But have seen many strange Things
Like a Black Mass walking in front of me
on my stairs (Maybe my Shadow, While Half asleep)
& Heard Somone walking up my Steps
right Before (Maybe the House setteling).

Once while Detecting an old abandond stone House
I Kept seeing a Large Dog Lunging my way
But when I Would look up, Nothing but an area where
there May have been a dog Chained years before.
(Maybe Bird or Bugs Flying By, or shadows
in the leaves) Don't know.

bout 3 years ago While Hunting another abandond House
(This place Did Make me Uncomfortable Which
is Rare for me, just dosn't happen) I Was swinging my detector
& walking towards the Front of the Home

And all of a Sudden I Heard Fast Bangs Upstairs & Running,
& I Jumped out of my Skin & Saw a Squirrel
Run out the window Reminded me Being Frightened Was Fun.
kind of miss it.

but ghost are real and ive encountered
many at the older homes ive lived in.
Like the last house, everyone in my
family saw an old lady in a white
houesegown, and it was never at
the same time, but at the same spot.
the house was built in the 1920s, maybe earlier
and had numerous owners through the years.

that they were detecting a field, with a woodsline, and an old house. They had pics, and I thougt and image of something was in one. The poster, I recall was from upstate New York, though I could be wrong.

I never have but like I said in another post i've almost crapped my pants a few times while losing track of time and being stuck 2 miles in the woods at colonial cellar holes in the dark. One time detecting a very old abandoned building from the mid 1800's I was in a huge open field with no one around for hundreds of yards and head talking in my headphones, I chalked it up as interference but it wasnt like radio chatter it was like 2 or more people having a conversation right near me, I thought it was the guy I was detecting with but he was alone and about 200 yards minding his own business. Luckly it was daytime. On another note my dad was over my grandpops house who died recently, he was down the basement and heard someone walking around up the stairs and in the living room, he said he was so sure someone was in the house he started yelling my grandpops name, when he went upstairs the door was closed and the house still empty. I really dont know if I believe in ghost, right before Harry Houdini died he gave his wife a code and told her if there was an afterlife, he would come back and somehow get that code to her, she died never receiving the code. So do ghost exist? Probably not but who knows.
