Anyone familiar with Curtis, Mi (in the UP)

I'll be vacationing there soon, on Big Lake Manistique. Just wondering if I should research areas to MD.
Most of the DNR maps show only parking areas and some beachfront areas open to detecting.

Any place is worth a try. Curtis has been a vacation spot for many many years.

Be careful about trespassing. Folks up there are a little touchy about it.
