Ladies and Gents, found this today about 8" down in a field of a farm built in 1798. However, I have also found 2 King George Half Cent Coppers at the same place (1727-1760) so the place may have had an older home on the grounds at one time. My opinion is that it's a very old drawer pull back plate due to the spacing of the two holes. Pretty ornate. Anyone else seen one like it or that can give me an approximate date?

looks like a cast victorian pull, 1890's - 1900. having run a restoration business I have seen many similar to this, that's the back plate, the posts and bail are not with it, but keep searching, may show up
