Hello all. I posted this as part of my "Todays finds" post but no one seemed to know anything about it so I thought that I would try it here. I found this brass eyelet screw on a union civil war site at about 8"-10" deep. Does anyone have any idea what it was used for? The last picture is for scale compared to the dime and button back. Thanks
