Anyone here from Long Island? Newbie here

Hello Everyone,

Im new to metal detecting and I've been at it for a couple of weeks now. I don't know anyone else who does this and it would be great to hunt with someone else. It would be great to learn some pointers from someone experienced or just to learn with another newbie. I know the weather is starting to get chilly but if anyone is interested in getting together let me know. I live in the East Islip area. See you out there!

hi, i lived in east islip quite a while ago. i lived in country village. my parents bought a house there new i guess in the late 50's or early 60's went to high school untill 1965. then moved to sayville. can't go with you,it just brought back old memories. thank's jim.
