I think it's military.With three prongs. ???

If it weren't thin brass I would have been sure its 18th century knee buckle. Which can be that shape with 2 or threes prongs but they are cast copper-alloy.

So I think being press metal I would hedge my bets at 1900-1920s. Probably a ladies decorative buckle for? as it wouldn't hold up to much use.

Not much help, only a stab which might spur others to ID it??

I think you could be right (still same time frame of early 1900s)

Yeah I'm leaning toward the suspender buckle as well, I've seen other ones on my searching that look similar. Thanks all!
