Anyone Know What "103" Means on this Silver Ring?

Hello All. Found this last night at a 1920's home site. I get the "925" but what does "103" mean? My wife says it's a model number.

I'm not sure what the 103 means, but I have seen sterling silver rings made in Mexico with the 103 with the 925 mark. It could be a maker's mark.
