Your going to have to be a little bit more Specific on your Question...............................HH

The question is why are they selling for anywhere from 1$ to 450$ is the question there buddy! If you have no clue then why be a smart ass!

Your question was vague indeed.

Type: Washington Quarter
Year: 1967
Mint Mark: No mint mark
Face Value: 0.25 USD
Total Produced: 1,524,031,000 [?]
Silver Content: 0%
Numismatic Value: $1 to $7
Value: As a rough estimate of this coins value you can assume this coin in poor condition will be valued at somewhere around $1, while one in "perfect" condition can bring $7. This price does not reference any standard coin grading scale. So when we say poor, we mean worn more than would be expected from a coin in this age, and perfect meaning it looks "perfect" without flaw and possibly even certified.

where are they selling for that?

Good old cointracker, if all else fails turn to cointracker.

How can anyone really give an intelligible answer to such a question as "why is something worth so much?"? The prices of things are based on supply and demand, or what the market bears, for anything from used cars to antiques. Actually, 1967 quarters are selling for at least 25 cents, not $1.

perhaps the better question is, where can I sell some for that?

I'll buy all you got for 25 cents each, you pay shipping.

sorrry dude, shipping is $5 per coin

cause they quit making them 1968 !!

Yea Folks ... look at ebay and you'll find them selling for crazy prices and know one here has yet to give a good answer
and I'd like to know why they are selling so high and with sure a price variation . I think I have two complete sets of 1967 sealed proofs/uncirculated so I'd really like to know what's up with the 67's . Happy Trails , Woodstock
if you read your comments you didn't say look at ebay

I see one on ebay for $1000 and it has a weird large "S" right next to Washington ... looks bazaar ! Woodstock

And they are selling some as cheap as dirt and others like M67 grade's for over half a grand... what are we missing here ?

Stop try to give your intelligible answer to "why it worth so much" and check ebay's collectible coin shop sellers and then give another intelligible answer and explain why they are . Surly your answer is a correct assumption with many variables but this isn't a car or collectible antique but a very common US Quarter . In fact I have one I got in change today , that one is worth 25 cents , not $1.00 . So why are other 1967's worth more than some quarters 100 years old in mint condition ? Please explain this cause you didn't by your intelligible answer , no disrespect met . HH, Woodstock
