:) Hi ya, I found this neat ol' patina covered piece up on top of a hill where a lot of people have been over the years. The freaky part was finding it only partly buried in the ground and yet it appears to have been there quite awhile before I came along with my trusty ol' school Tesoro to free it from it's shallow hiding spot. Can anyone in here help me to identify this neat ol' relic? Even a rough guess on it's age would be fun at this point. :) Maybe a part of the case from some kinda sword or other long bladed instrument? What's your idea? ;D

i agree..top of a knife/sword sheath, wood most likely rotted away.....
