✅ SOLVED anyone know what this might have broken off of?

It is heavy brass,about 4 3/4 inches long,and broke off something on its very end.I thought I had something pretty good when I first dug it,a second glance I thought maybe fire poker handle,but where it is broken off,it looks to be broken from other brass and i haven't seen many fire stokers completely made of brass.well I guess they could be brass all the way to the tip. " anyway, i am hoping for something else"hope someone knows. joe
