Here is a sad little elephant my wife and I found the other day. Cannnot find out anything about it. No signature. Anynje seen one like it before?

Search "netsuke", miniature art carvings.
Is it wood or carved stone (like carved cinnabar), hard to tell from pics.
It's going to be hard to tell age, unless you find documented companion pieces, the artist/carver, etc...
That's all I could think of, good luck figuring it out.
