Decided to take a pic of this pocket watch I found the other day. By my eye it is messed up beyond repair. I was going to chuck it, but realized someone might like cleaning up stuff like this. If anyone wants it, let me know. If you send me a $1 for shipping, it is yours. I only ask for the $1, b/c it will tell me someone actually wants to do something with it.
On the news front, I went out yesterday to a home site and found 12 wheats and a 1920S Merc. My usual ratio is 5 wheats to 1 silver, so I am due to hit a few silvers this weekend.
Oh, and I attached an ebay link and pic to what the watch looked like in good condition. Neat Deco style: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330217337419&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=014

I saw that first picture and thought "HECK YEAH, I WANT IT!" but then realized it wasn't the item in question. Oh well maybe someone will want to fool around with it. Nice of you to offer.

Wish I knew more about watches, but I think by the time it was restored it would be a whole new watch. Thanks though!!

Can't have it back if it turns out to be very rare and worth $$$$$$$$$$$ :whip2:
Any more details make etc.... :icon_sunny:

I was suprised that several people wanted the watch. I should do this more often with other interesting relics I find, but don't want to keep. For those who were interested, the watch is spoken for.
The make and model: New Haven Compensated. I am guessing 1920's.

I have found a few pocket watches, not as good as condition as yours though, LOL! Nice of you to offer it, one person's junk is another person's treasure. HH, Mike

This is a great idea!
I posted an ExLax tin, the other day. Nicky grabbed it right up.
I think it's great to share what you never use anymore or that you want to go to a new home.
I know I still have a lot of "stuff" to go thru, but I'll post them on the free spot when they're ready.

Kinda like sharing the wealth in a way!! Super job!(karma loves good intentions),lol :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:
