I have seen several with lines across screen, but not like this. Time for warranty work.

An LCD is a "liquid crystal display" with the liquid sandwiched between two or more layers of glass or plastic. It looks like the LCD has been cracked or damaged and the liquid crystal has seeped out. This could have been caused by an impact (typical) or something internally (e.g., a faulty capacitor behind the screen blew.) It might not have happened right away after an impact either, since it can take time for the gel to leak away. Hope it's covered by warranty!

I got mine back not to long ago same problem, they replaced under warranty the graphics card / LCD .
