Today me and Loren went back to the little town we hunted yesterday. His machine was up and running also. He found a modern penny. I found 2 wheats one was a 1919, the other 1910. I got a good signal and dug a mercury dime up. I looked at it close and he asked the date. I told him 1916. I handed it to him and he saw it was 1916 also. He went to look for the mink mark, I told him not to, he handed it back to me, i looked and told him it has a mink mark but my eyes can't see them good anymore. He looked at it and said it was a S. This year both mercury dimes i have found have been 1916, got the plain and the S, no D yet. :'(

i can,t believe how high silver has gone up. i have bought silver rounds and bars for my kids and also the silver proof sets and the walking silver dollar,s. but i don't,t buy coin,s for my self, i like to dig them then buy them. i wish that dime had a - d on it to. good luck and happy hunting :)

Sounds like you're off to a good start already. Keep at it. You'll probably turn up one of those Denver mint 1916 Mercury dimes yet.
