Aquascan Mag

Anyone know why they discontinued their mag units, I used one some years back , with ok success would have enjoyed using it more, the j...ass that came to the island i live on knew everything though so it was pointless and irritating. So anyone enjoy using them and why are they not making them?

I have an old MC5 and like it allot.
I had mine converted to using a toroid sensor.
I am presently using the spare MC5 solenoid sensor on a PPM
I am designing. I am presently involved in the field testing phase.
All looks good.
Why don't you contact Aquascan for your answer. They are always
prompt to reply to my questions.

As I understood it, not enough demand and they wanted to focus on the better selling Auqapulse.

We used the Aquascan at Cape Canaveral back in the late 80's, alternating with a Barringer. Both units gave identical n/T readings on known targets. Too bad they stopped producing this unit; for the money, I thought it was very adequate. (outside of a few shark and barracuda bites)
