Aquasound?

Any opinions on the Aquasound? I know that it was built for the non-mineralized sands of Florida! I want to use one but not sure if it would work very well on the Texas Gulf Coast beaches? Texas has varing degrees of mineralized black sand. Lot of money for something that might not work! Thanks for all opinion...pro or con!
