Hi, my mum just gave me an Arabic medallion. She has a reputation for handing me down some junk, but this is the strangest thing she has given me yet. It weighs 37g, is non-magnetic and is about 58mm in diameter. The date says 1208 Hijri and I recognise the writing as being the Verse of the Throne (Ayat Al-Kursi) with Allah written in the middle on one side and Muhammad on the other. Otherwise I have no idea as I know nothing about coins/medallions. Anyone have any info?
