I got this today from my neighbor. Paid her 80% of spot on 18k. However I'm not sure it's 18 K. I think it might be 21k maybe? I guess it's time Buy an electronic gold tester. Anybody see any of these before or this type of Hallmark there's no way I can tell you what it says! But it's 12.2 g. It's slightly fades away on the 22k.
She said a family member bought it on tour in Saudi Arabia a couple years ago. I wish she wanted to sell the other 3 that she had.

Arabic gold is at min --18 and is often 22 k -- the arabs do not even deal with stuff less than 18 K as they think of it as "junk' less that 75 % pure (18K) is a joke to them..

Give CyberDan a PM and ask him about what to do. He is a very kind-hearted and knowledgeable guy!

My jeweler just bought a brand-new electronic goal tester for more than I could even imagine paying for one. But he said it's 18 K. Which is fine with me!

Make sure he read the manual front to back? I would be surprised if that thing wasn't 21K-22K. It has that buttery look, and it isn't marked with karat... I found a small hoard of middle eastern gold at an auction earlier this year. Nothing hallmarked, all at least 21K. If your acid test @22K very slowly eats through the sample, but stays all night long on the 18K, I bet it's 21...
