Tahoe Gives Up Some Gold, Finally!

Put my wetsuit on and got out early before all the kiddies started splashing around. Found a good amount of change and some jewelry.

The ring is 22k with what I believe is a Lemon Topaz. It registers as a diamond with the tester and very low refractivity, which is typical of Topaz. It also exhibits birefringence which differenciates it from Tourmaline. It weighs in a 3.98g.

The bracelet is 925 silver and the earring is 14k gold filled.

Hopefully I can keep this luck going for awhile. I found 8 gold rings in the first ten weeks of this year and it's taken til now to get #9.

Normally I wouldn't need the wetsuit this time of year, but the lake is extra cold this year. Not sure of the temp, but just too cold to be in for any length of time.
