Are these Jude's?

Any help would be appreciated, In pics 1 is 38cm and has snapped base, 2 is 30cm, 3 is 30cm,4 is 33cm,5 is 34cm, 6 is 34cm,7 is 46 cm,8 is 40 cm.Number 1 and 8 have snapped base, all others are ground. The Peachstate Archeology site will not show me the Rheems Creek picture or description ,only that one,Overstreet doesn't give much info on Rheems Creek. Halifax has expanded stem, so I ruled it out....Thanks in advance for your help....Carl

Hey ris,

I was never any good with metrics. I gotta assume, though, that we're talking silly millimeters, rather than centimeters…

So many different varieties in GA. I hardly ever find 2 the same. Looks like you have a honey hole some place.

They do look some what like a Jude style 7000 to 9000 yrs old, it's an Alabama point but found all over that area. Looking at the photo's I think you may have 2 different styles (just what I see in the base of the points). Just remember not all Indian knapper's stayed in a perfect guide line when making a point, they may not have been a good point maker. :laughing7:

I obviously not very good with metric, I am a land surveyor and been working 10ths of a foot since 1965, gonna stick with that from now on.

Monsterrack, there is at least two styles, trying to fit them into guidelines that seem to be set by dimensions, shape etc.of the original site where the first are found. It seems to me if the look, flaking, beveling, shape and all that is good, dimensions are maybe not that important,? If the two with snapped base aren't Jude's I don't know what they might be....Saw a buck chasing a doe through a beaver pond earlier this week, I should be in the woods, lol.....Carl
