Arkansas River & Blue Mesa Reservoir

I'm out on the road for a couple nights this week going to Canon City and then to Ouray. The Arkansas river is getting higher and so is Blue Mesa by Gunnison Colo. The weather is outstanding this day and I had lots of time to kill going from one place to the other.

That last pic is really cool.

Partly cloudy skies, such as this seem to produce better light in a scene shot, I've noticed. I think the combination of light and shadow make it just right for crisp picture without the haze. I had to darken the highlight on the other two pictures in order to get a blue sky from what the original was that was more a pail turquoise blue.
